Ebbisham has traditionally had a strong junior badminton section and in 2009 was designated a Performance Centre.
Since then, junior members follow either the Club pathway or the Performance Centre pathway.
On the club pathway Juniors receive coaching at the club on Sundays, with J1 and J2 sessions running from September to July (J3 from September to Easter) and these 3 established sections are now supplemented by a Bisi Badminton section for age 4 upwards.
The four Performance Centre sections receive coaching throughout the year on weekdays after school, both at the club and at other local venues
There are currently a few vacancies throughout the junior sections – An open session for new club members is held on the first Sunday in September at 10am. Players take part in a free coaching session and parents are invited to stay and watch and speak with the coaches. At the end of the session, players are advised as to the most suitable section for them.
But don’t worry if you missed it. New members are also welcome to join throughout the season. Anyone interested should contact the club.
Performance Centre Sessions are by invitation – players are selected from club members and local schools and talent ID days. For more information about the Performance Centre, please go to separate tab under badminton.
